RICHARD (DICK) SIMON Richard (Dick) Simon passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Richard was born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 27, 1921. Richard was a devoted husband to his wife of 65 years, Nancy (Lichtenstul), until her passing in 2015. Dick is survived by his beloved children, Sharon Dunlap (Donnie) and Kenneth Simon (Linda); and his cherished grandchildren, Chad, Jessica, Wesley and Kevin who were his pride and joy. Richard, a graduate of the University of Michigan in 1943, devoted his life to giving back – he served his country in WW2, his community as a dedicated volunteer leader with several local organizations – most notably Rodef Shalom Congregation and Jewish Healthcare Foundation - and was ' ever loyal to his ZBT'. Dick will be remembered by his family, friends, bridge and poker buddies and Brothers for his kindness, wisdom and wit. The family will be holding a Private Graveside Service. Contributions in Richard's memory will be welcome by The Biblical Botanical Garden at Rodef Shalom Congregation or the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation. MARGARET ANN WALCH December 29, 1930 - October 29, 2020 Margaret Ann Walch passed away peacefully with her family at her side on October 29, 2020. Margaret was the beloved wife of Robert J. Walch for 66 yrs. She was the loving mother of (late) Stephen Walch, Teresa (late Scott) Dodds, David (Leslie) Walch, Kathleen (Seth) Baratz and John (Linda) Walch. DR. DAVID ROBERT SHENSA With heavy hearts we announce the death of Dr. David Robert Shensa on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Beloved husband and best friend of Patti Greenberger Shensa of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh. David was the son of the late Dr. Lewis Samuel Shensa and the late Gladys Henkin Shensa of Youngstown, Ohio and the brother of the late Dr. Stanley Henkin Shensa of Cleveland, Ohio. David was the proud father of Craig Shensa (Ariel Singer Shensa) and the late Jodi Shensa. He was the dear stepfather of Rick Aranson (Nancy Barnett Aranson) and Jill Aranson Snyder (Michael David Snyder). He loved his grandchildren, Ezra Shensa and Samara Shensa and his step-grandchildren Eli, Brett, and Adam Snyder and Lindsey and Danny Aranson. David loved his profession as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, which he had to give up in his late 40's due to health issues. He later enjoyed doing office anesthesia for dental offices and helped set up a program called Dental Education, Inc. to provide continuing education credits for oral surgeons to maintain their dental licenses. David handled his numerous medical problems with grace and humility for many years. He will be missed and loved by his family and friends forever. Graveside Services and Interment are Private. NANCY F. (FINK) KUENZEL Age 81 of Monroeville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Beloved wife of 46 years to Allan J. Kuenzel; loving mother of Deborah L. (Andy) Close and Robert A. (Caley) Kuenzel; cherished "Nana" of Jadyn Kuenzel, Riley Kuenzel and Glenn Close; caring sister of Ruth Britton, Gladys (John) Chart and Virginia (Darryle) Dively. Nancy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph W. and Ruth M. (Matthews) Fink; and sister, Barbara Trexler. Nancy spent a year on a mission trip in Mexico City with Wycliffe Bible Translators. She was a dedicated member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, loved the Lord and was a faithful servant to Christ. Joanne was a 1954 graduate of Langley High School in Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. John XXIII Parish in Finleyville, where she was active in Christian Mothers, Ladies Guild and the Requiem Choir. She was also a member of the Columbiettes Council 13832 John Paul the Great. ELLEN L. BEDNAR Age 80, of McDonald, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Ellen was born May 7, 1940 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Joseph J. and Ella Kassau Bednar. Miss Bednar was a graduate of McDonald High School, Class of 1958 and earned her bachelor's degree from Geneva College, Class of 1962. Ellen later received her master's degree in Education from Westminster College. She was a teacher for the Quaker Valley School District for 30 years. Ellen was an accomplished pianist and artist. She enjoyed the hunt for collectibles at yard sales, flea markets and antique shows. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Ellen was also a lover of all animals especially her dear feline friends, Walter and Sherman. She is survived by many cousins. At Ellen's request all services will be private. KARL J. KOVACS Age 76, of McKees Rocks, passed away November 5, 2020 peacefully at his home in Stowe Township. Loving husband of Diana Tkacik Kovacs; loving father of Karl D. Kovacs; and grandfather of Karlee Kovacs; brother of Jack (Marlene) Kovacs; also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and his cousin; son of the late Karl R. Kovacs and Margaret Barnes Kovacs. Karl went to McKees Rocks High and graduated in 1962. Mr. Kovacs was born February 10, 1944, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. Karl worked many years at U.S. Steel Wheel and Axle Division, now known as Trinity Industry, as a machine operator in McKees Rocks. Karl enjoyed watching baseball and playing golf and going to the racetrack in his free-time. He was the loving father of John Fedorak, Jodi (Robert) Mattison, Renee (James) Fisher and Robin (Michael) Carpenter. Proud grandfather of Noah Fisher, Annika and Aiyla Mattison, and Nathan Carpenter. Son of the late Charles and Irene Fedorak. He was the loving brother of William (Beverly) Fedorak, Suzie (Bill) Shiner and Lynne (Steve) Christy. He is also survived by his lifetime friend, Sharon Fedorak as well as a host of nieces, nephews extended family, cherished friends and neighbors. Chuck was a lifetime member of the Boilermakers Union 154, where he retired from in 2011. Chuck had a passion for music and enjoyed playing guitar, singing and writing songs. Buchlmayer, Kathy (Roy) Clark, Darryl (Lisa) Buchlmayer, and the late Gary R. Buchlmayer; sister of Thomas (Eileen) Grogan and the late Lillian Grogan, Lois Brennfleck, William Grogan, Paul Grogan, Regis Grogan, James Grogan and Grace Devine; dear grandmother of Jennifer and James Uhler, Shannon (John) Preston, Sean Clark, Shane, Troy, and Jenna Buchlmayer, and Jessica, Kayla, and Bradley Buchlmayer; also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Sophia, Reid, Parker, Kiera, Chloe, Coby, Destiny, Makayla, Madison and Caden. PAUL F. GIANNETTA Paul F. Giannetta, age 81, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2020, at the Residence at Weinberg Village. Paul was born on February 1, 1939, to the late Luke and Concetta (Ruffa) Giannetta, Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Giannetta. Paul was an avid golfer and enjoyed trips to the casino with his wife, Elaine, who was the love of his life. He was a dedicated father to his only child, James (Paulie), and he loved spending time with family and friends, especially Christmas with all of the baking and packing of Christmas cookies. In the last few years, the highlight of his life was the daily calls and special visits with his son. He is survived by his loving son, James Paul Giannetta; brother, Tony Giannetta; devoted nieces, Karen Nickel and Kelly Ward, and several other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Barbara Giannetta and brother-in-law, Edward Barrett.
